Active Directory users can have their office name configured in the attribute PhysicalDeliveryOfficeName. In general it’s a great idea to populate this attribute with something meaningful so it can be used in LDAP queries.
If you’re running our free tool DynamicGroups you can even use this attribute to create dynamic groups in your Active Directory. As these groups can be synchronized with Office 365, this effectively gives your dynamic groups in Office 365. This normally requires the Azure AD Premier P1 or P2 license, so this can be a huge cost saver.
